Another Adorable Polka-Dot Cake

Although this cake looks almost identical to the "Polka Dotted Baby Shower" Cake it is very different.  The sheer pink ribbon on top had a shiny boarder on it and the entire cake was covered with Pixie Dust (edible sparkles).  It is also three layers of vanilla cake with a Nutella buttercream filling.  The writing on the cake was placed on a piece of fondant made to look like a gift tag.  It was also covered in silver edible sparkles so that it stood out from the rest of the cake.  It was perfect for the mom-to-be because not only did she LOVE nutella, but many of the baby things she has is polka dotted.

S, Simple but Elegant and Fun

These S sugar cookies were covered in a rich red fondant with a royal icing piped design. Even thought they are simple, once they were put in individual bags with bows they became super fun.

USC

These red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing were so cool. They were perfect for the graduation party they were served at!

Ladybugs and Bumblebees

The theme of this party was obviously ladybugs and bumblebees.  They were so cute when they were on display because the cupcakes were set next to the cookies.

These were sugar cookies covered in fondant with royal icing decorations.

Both of these cupcakes were vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream.  The bugs were made out of royal icing.

Mini Dessert Cups

These are little 2 oz wine glasses filled with the makings of a lemon meringue pie, vanilla wafer crust, lemon curd and topped with a toasted meringue.

These small 3 oz glasses have my cheesecake mouse with strawberries.  It is strawberry season so they were so delicious!

A Fall Wedding

I had the opportunity while I was in school to make a wedding cake for my aunt. This cake was covered in buttercream with ribbon and roses. It was perfect for a fall wedding.

Irish Car-Bomb Cupcakes

I decided to experiment one day and make something that sort of resembled an Irish Car Bomb in the form of dessert. The cake portion is a chocolate Guinness Stout cake with an Irish Cream buttercream icing.  They were perfect for St. Patrick's Day.

Box Cake

Someone requested a cake that looked like a gift box.  It turned out really cute, especially because the ribbon on the actual gift matched the ribbon on the cake.

Mini Apple Pies

These mini apple pies were made in ceramic cups, making it possible to warm them before serving them.  I thought it would be fun to make a couple different types so I made traditional apple pie, and French apple pie with the crumb topping.

Rainbow Cupcakes

I thought these were just extremely fun! They were so bright and happy that it wasn't possible to smile when one looked at them.  These are vanilla cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting but it would be possible to do any cake flavor as long as it is white to start with.  I colored the frosting and layered it in the containers before I baked them and after this experiment I figured out how to layer it so that they show all the colors on the outside.
