This was the overall table set up

This is a side view of the table

Mini Lemon Meringue Pie Tarts

I wanted to throw a holiday party like this, but never got around to it! Maybe next year!!!!

Cake Towers

I love these! I used to make these and sell them in my pastry shop in Asheville, NC! They are layers of cake and icing stacked inside a plastic ring! They are a little larger than a cupcake but are so much more fun!!

These were the chocolate salted caramel cakes.

And these were holiday inspired red velvet and chocolate towers!

Holiday Treats

These are a few of the items I did for people for the Christmas holidays!

Snowflake brownies: rich chocolate brownies cut into a snowflake shape and decorated with a vanilla buttercream.

Caramel apple pie and a french crumble top apple pie

Peppermint brownies, topped with a peppermint buttercream and crushed candy cane!

Thanksgiving Jars

I know it has been a while since I have been able to update this blog, but here is the first one in a long string of updates since Thanksgiving 2012!

One of the special orders I had for Thanksgiving were these jars. I made three different types for variety and one was placed at each place setting on their thanksgiving table. They were the party favors for the guests to take home with them after they had dinner. Each one was tied with a bow, had a thank you card tied to it, and a fork so that it made eating it later easier!

This is what the finished product looked like.

These were Brown Butter Pumpkin Cakes. They had the brown butter pumpkin cake, spiced buttercream icing, white chocolate chips and mini marshmallows.

This was the Chocolate Salted Caramel Cake. It had layers of rich chocolate cake, caramel buttercream, mini chocolate chips, caramel chewy bits, caramel drizzle and sea salt.

These were Cranberry Apple Pies. They had a apple filling, sweetened cranberries, pie dough bits, and crumble topping layered in as well.

Owl Babyshower!!!

I was never really into owls, but now after the few cakes I have made, I am obsessed! I love the way they make things so stinking cute!

This was the invite they gave me to create the cake based off of

This is what I came up with!

It was a chocolate cake with raspberry filling and vanilla buttercream icing. I made all the decorations out of fondant so the whole cake was edible!

I think this was one of my favorite cakes to make to date!!!

Caramel Apple & Pumpkin Cupcakes!

These were for a fall party!
Delightful pumpkin cupcakes with a spiced cream cheese icing.

Caramel apple cupcakes, filled with caramel and topped with a caramel buttercream and drizzled with caramel.

Artist Birthday Cake

My sister was so jealous of this cake! She too is an artist and has yet to get a cool art themed birthday cake.... maybe someday!

This was a chocolate cake, chocolate filling with chocolate chips and chocolate buttercream icing! So much fantastic chocolate!!

I used fondant to create the artist pallat on top and make the paint brush so the whole thing would be edible!

Halloween Cupcakes!

I love halloween because I get to make such fun desserts!!!! I have now gotten to do a wedding cake, and cupcakes! So much fun!!!

For this order I did 80 mini cupcakes and 24 regular sized cupcakes. Some were chocolate, some were vanilla and they all had vanilla buttercream.

Some of the mini cupcakes

Some of the regular sized cupcakes

The cupcakes had ghosts, pumpkins, black cats, bats, witch hats, spiders, 'Boo', Tombstones that said 'Noah' & 'Happy 1st Birthday', and mummies! They were so much fun!

Edible Glitter!

I got a request for a super girly, happy, birthday cake using edible glitter if possible. Needless to say, I used quite a bit of edible glitter!!! It was a funfetti cake with chocolate filling and hot pink vanilla buttercream. I did a black fondant bow on top and a fondant ribbon and polka-dots on the side.  I don't know that the picture does it justice of how fun it really was!

Mini Fall Cake

This was a small 6" cake ment to serve 4-6 people. It was a brown butter pumpkin cake with a spiced buttercream icing, and fondant pumpkins. It is also pretty fantastic with a spiced cream cheese icing! Happy Fall!!!

Tiffany Engagement Party Cupcakes

These were fun! Tiffany blue and white cream cheese icing on top of a red velvet cake. There were a few different designs I did on top.

I did some with sugar pearls, some to look like tiffany boxes, blue and white fondant flowers, fondant rings, hearts that said 'love' and 'i do' and some with the couple's initials 'JEM'. I think they are so fun!

70th Birthday Cake

This was my last cake I did while I was living in North Carolina. It was quite a challenge, and I loved every minute of making it!!
This was for a grandfather's 70th birthday and they wanted everything that he loved, or they knew him for on it, and it was FUN!

The front of the cake!

The NYC skyline (because he is from NY), He loves his Merlot (bottle & grapes) and his favorite cars is a 79 Cadillac

He has a miniature yorki, loves bowling, and loves to golf!

He loves his bible, he isn't a grinch but they have a family joke that he is, and he draws this jojo character on any piece of paper he gets his hands on.

This was a fun cake because I feel like I got to know him, and I never met him!
